Bauchi Police Arrest Woman for Kidnapping and Murder

The Bauchi State Police have arrested 19-year-old Esther Gambo for allegedly kidnapping a newborn and murdering two girls, Khadija Sama’ila and A’isha Dahiru, both seven years old. Esther, from Lemoro Village, reportedly lured the girls from Unguwan Sarkin Yaki Village.

Following the incident, local youth protested violently, leading to arson of churches and attempts to burn the Tulu Divisional Police Headquarters. Commissioner of Police Sani-Omolori Aliyu urged the community to respect the law and individual rights, emphasizing that law enforcement should remain the responsibility of trained professionals. He assured the public that a thorough investigation is ongoing and called for calm during this time.
