
There’s been an intense chaos that is unfolding at the All Progress Congress (APC) primaries in Oyo State for the upcoming Ibadan North Federal House of Representatives by-election. APC members make a rejection of the primary outcome by nine aspirants, the alleged attack on ex-chairman Idris Lapade, and accusations of process hijacking against influential party members.
Many members of the All Progressives Congress(APC) Oyo state chapter are embroiled and in a turmoil at the outcome of the primary election held, stating that the whole process is not true and fair, but all full of manipulation as the aftermath of the primary saw nine out of ten aspirants expressing discontent with the results, citing various issues of flawed processes of undemocratic practices and compromise with a major allegations of hijacking by vested interests.
The primary, met with violence, and heated confrontations, took a dark turn as former chairman Idris Lapade was reportedly assaulted, leading to chaos at the venue. Witnesses described scenes of turmoil and discontent, raising concerns about the party’s ability tis o manage internal processes effectively.
