The Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun State has announced that motorists violating traffic rules, such as over speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol, or using phones while driving, will face immediate arrest and prosecution.
FRSC Sector Commander in Ogun State Akinwumi Fasakin disclosed this during a press conference held at the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ) secretariat Oke-Ilewo , Abeokuta.
He added that the state will also establish mobile courts during the ember months to expedite the prosecution of offenders, sending a strong message about the importance of adhering to traffic regulations.
However , the corps has also launched its 2024 Ember Months safety campaign under the theme: “Speak Up Against Dangerous Driving: Crashes Kill More Passengers than Drivers.”
