The President of the Coalition of Progressive Youths, Comrade Ekundina Segun Elvis, has called on Nigerian youths to take active roles in nation-building and the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In a statement marking International Youth Day 2025, themed “Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond”, Ekundina stressed that young people possess the creativity, energy, and innovation needed to foster sustainable growth, strengthen communities, and promote peace.
Comrade Ekundina identified entrepreneurship, leadership, sustainable practices, and community engagement as critical areas where youths can make meaningful contributions to socio-economic development.
He therefore urged youths to demand empowerment through skills acquisition and resource access, participate in governance to ensure their voices are heard, and build partnerships to tackle common challenges.
