Former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola has criticized the Tinubu-led administration for failing to deliver on the “Renewed Hope” promised during the 2023 campaign. Speaking on the Frontline program on Eagle 102.5 FM, he expressed concern over the state of the nation, stating that instead of improvement, Nigerians are experiencing worsening conditions.
“Witnessing bad governance, the economy is struggling, and it’s affecting every Nigerian,” he said. He pointed to widespread poverty, insecurity, and deteriorating living conditions as evidence of the administration’s failures.
Recently, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and the PDP leadership endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027, a move Oyinlola called strategic rather than ideological. He stressed that the country is plagued by poverty and insecurity, declaring, “What we have is renewed suffering, not renewed hope.”
