11 Injured in Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Collision

 

A head-on collision along the Magboro section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Saturday left 11 individuals injured. One driver fled the scene before emergency responders arrived.

According to Florence Okpe, spokesperson for the Ogun State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, 14 people were involved in total—10 males and four females. Of those, 11 sustained injuries, while three passengers were unharmed.

Okpe attributed the crash to excessive speeding, stating that one vehicle lost control, leading to the collision. An investigation is underway, and the public is urged to provide any information that could help locate the fleeing driver.
