A journalist named Felix Okobo, associated with Cityvoice, has been shot dead by political thugs.
Okobo, who had been abroad for five years, was reportedly targeted.
According to eyewitness accounts, he was shot in the chest from a distance of approximately five kilometers from his residence in Ojota, Lagos.This tragic incident took place on the 16th of May.
Many believe that the motive behind the murder may be linked to sensitive news and information that Okobo possessed.
Our findings have uncovered that Okobo had previously survived two assassination attempts before his departure from Nigeria.
It has been reported that the victim informed the police about these attempts, seeking necessary investigations.
However, it appears that the police did not apprehend any suspects related to these incidents.
Following these assassination attempts, Okobo left the country in 2020 to avoid being killed.
The Lagos State Police Command confirmed to reporters that the journalist was indeed murdered by political thugs.
The police have stated that an investigation is currently underway.
