Nigerian media personality and actress Toke Makinwa has expressed her willingness to be a second, third, fourth, or even fifth wife, citing limited marital options at 40.

 

During an episode of her podcast “Toke Moments,” she discussed the pressures of independence with her guest, Banke Kuku. Makinwa stated, “At this point in my life, if given the chance to be a second, third, fourth, or fifth wife, I would take it.” She highlighted her need for a partner, saying, “Being the boss everywhere can be exhausting, and I sometimes wish I had someone to lean on.”

 

Previously, Makinwa was married to businessman Maje Ayida from 2014 until their divorce in 2017. In November 2024, rumors circulated about her marrying Farouk Umar, but she clarified that they are just “besties” and that the wedding was a Thanksgiving celebration.
