Hon. Atobatele shines as Egbaland honours sons, daughters

 

In commemoration of 2025 Lisabi Day festival, the organizing Committee has honoured distinguished sons and daughters of Egbaland.

The special award night was held at the Alake Palace, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The Awardees are Finance Minister, Wale Edun, Director-General of National Sports Commission, Bukola olopade, Fuji maestro, Sefiu Alao, Fola Adeola esq, Emeritus Prof. Kamorudeen balogun,
Prof Delana mujahid Adelekan.

Post hummus award were also given to
Alhaji Fatai Gbemisola (fatgbems) and
Alhaji Yusuf Olatunji (Babalegba).

The Chairman, Lisabi Festival Committee and Asipa Egba, Chief Rasheed Raji, said that the Awardees were honoured based on their track records as well as their impact on the socio – economic development of Egbaland.

The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Aremu Gbadebo and Olowu of Owu, Oba Saka Matemilola in their separate remarks, urged the Awardees not to relent in their good works, urging all sons and daughters to continue to do all within their powers for the progress and development of Egbaland.

Alake described this year’s festival as topnotch, praising the impact of Egbaliganza and the committee.

Hon Atobatele while speaking to journalists after receiving his Award, assured the people of Egbaland of more humanitarian gestures and developmental projects to his constituency.

He said the honour would spur him to do more, saying that it was a good thing to uplift his people and the entire community.

Hon. Atobatele enjoined other Egba sons and daughters both home and abroad to give back to the community, saying no amount of help is small.
